Understanding Government Plastic Guidelines
It is important to distinguish between harmful single-use plastics and the compliant, recyclable materials used in educational stationery. According to government directions for the use of plastic products:
Allowed Products: The use of plastic is permitted for recyclable plastic stationery products used for office and education purposes.
Banned Products: The ban specifically targets single-use items like plastic bags below 50 microns, non-woven bags, and disposable items made of thermocol or plastic (cups, plates, etc.).
Our Compliance: Kaveri book covers are manufactured at 90 microns (±10%) , far exceeding the minimum thickness requirements and ensuring they are not classified as thin, single-use plastics.
